Here you'll get a feel that life has different colors. Visit of Mall Road is a "must" to do. It is one of the popular landmark in Murree. People here are very progressive and welcoming to foreigners.Mall Road has some historical places and churches too.

Walking through the "Mall Road" of vendors, selling walking sticks and other wooden goods carved out of Pine Wood, fur caps and other handicrafts and about everything you want to have, is a 'must to do thing'. There are many good shopping malls and food restaurants which give the street a festive vibe.  English is spoken well, by the majority of people here. Mall Road is surrounded by many famous shops, cafeteria, hotels, play areas, banks, general stores, dry fruits markets, garments shops, gifts shops, Jewellery shops, Good quality of Leather Jackets and Sweaters' shops and plenty of other uncountable variety of shops are located in a very professional way. Though the classic culutre of Mall Road is on decline but Mall Road is still an iconic place, and  of course, that feeling of Mall Road of Murree is still alive...

A very vibrant place, The Mall Road, is a historical and the most busiest street, located in GPO Chowk, Murree, Punjab, Pakistan. Its starting point is GPO (General Post Office Building) towards Marhaba Chowk and Pindi Point, The walk up to Pindi Point is more than a mile long and on a clear day, one can see the outline of buildings of distant Islamabad.  This would be a refreshing walk in the pure and pollution-free atmosphere of the mountains with absolutely stunning view all along the ways of the valleys below.

Cold weather in Summer and Snowfall in Winter make Mall Road best to hang out. It is covered with snow 3 months a year. But still, families, tourist or newly married couples like to visit it in the season of winter, when about everything is covered with white snow.But, at the time of summer vacation, the rush on Mall Roadtouches its peak. In this season no vehicle is allowed on the Mall Road Murree and only pedestrian could use this road.

GPO is a building of the British era. GPO Chowk named after General Post Office of Pakistan, and is still used for the same purposes. The National Bank of Pakistan also has its branch right behind this building.

Holy Trinity Church is one of the first buildings on the Mall Road. It is reminiscent of the British era.

Many well known brands are opening their outlets here.It has various gift shops specially the traditional shawl shops, where every type of shawls are available. Shops offer a verity of things for the tourists. The under ground pathan market of shawls, cloth and dry fruit is interesting.

There are lots of restaurant where you can get pakistani, continental and Chinese food. In addition, there are many popular restaurants for breakfast or dinner, serving tourists 24/7 almost. Mall Road is where you can find varieties of food such as fish, bar be que, coffee, french fries, burgers, etc. Although many famous restaurants like KFC, Usmania etc are also there.

you can have a thing called "Kushta" from the dry fruit shop which is a combination of many dry fruits all grounded and coconut added to it along with kaskash that is for good health.

Its good to walk through this road and see a lot of people enjoying the weather of Murree. One can stroll around for an hour or so with some shopping and coffee. You can have long walks with family, friends or loved ones. At the same time, if you like to sit, drink tea, and watch people, this is an ideal place to do it. Mall Road has heaps of good spots to pop in for a tea or a meal. One may also take a short ride on the chair lift.

 Its has been a tradition that people prefer to get hotels near or on Mall Road. So, there are also many well-managed hotels for the tourists.\

 There you can get cabs and cars to visit nearby spots like Ayubia, Nathiagali, Patriata, etc. It is difficult to get a parking place there.

MURREE MALL ROAD 

The Mall Road and walk on mall was the classic thing to do in Murree but with the passage of time, it has become a very crowded place and its beauty has been ignored or compromised. However, despite these problems, the visit to Murree without going Mall Road is not really complete. It gives you the true touch of Murree. If you don't visit the Mall Road then you really haven't been to Murree.
