MINAR-E-PAKISTAN: INTRODUCTION
Located in Lahore, PAKISTAN, MINAR-E-PAKISTAN tells the tale of the sacrifices made by the forefathers and founders of PAKISTAN for the establishment of an ideal PAKISTAN. It is also known as "The Liberty Tower of PAKISTAN".

MINAR-E-PAKISTAN was built between 1960 and 1968. It was constructed on the exact place where the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution (23 March 1940).

MINAR-E-PAKISTAN LAHORE 

The Lahore Resolution , a political resolution, that directly helped in the emergence of an ideal state, namely PAKISTAN, for the Muslims of the sub-continent. Ofcourse, It was the first official call for the seperate homeland for the Muslims. It was presented at Minto Park (Iqbal Park) in Lahore by Maulvi A.K. Fazlul Haq (one of the members of the committee) and became a landmark document in Pakistan's history. Lahore Resolution played a very vital role in the partition of India and PAKISTAN. In the honour of this Pakistan Resolution, Everyyear Pakistan Day is celebrated on March 23rd in Pakistan with national zeal and zealous and no one can ignore the importance of this resolution seeing the MINAR-E-PAKISTAN structure in Iqbal Park, Lahore.

There are also historic plaques where the inscriptions bearing the text of Lahore Resolution (23 March 1940) , Delhi Resolution (9 April 1946), national Anthem of Pakistan, Speeches of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and famous couplets of the national poet Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal are attached. Also, Quranic verses and 99 names of ALLAH ALMIGHTY are inscribed in Arabic calligraphy.

Now come to the beautiful design of MINAR-E-PAKISTAN which is a charming blend of Islamic and modern architecture. Its foundation stone was laid on the Pakistan Day in 1960. and after eight years, it was completed at the cost of about 70-80 lacs. A talented architect of Punjab, Nasreddin Murat-Khan was hired to make this national tower of PAKISTAN. It is surrounded by fountains of marbles and an artificial lake, to make its view more worth-seeing.

MINAR-E-PAKISTAN: STRUCTURE

MINAR-E-PAKISTAN LAHORE 

The total height of the National Tower of Pakistan is about 70 meters including the base of 8 meters above the ground. and the Diammeter of this tower is about 9.75 meters. The base of MINAR-E-PAKISTAN comprises four platforms. These platforms show the history of Pakistan in a beautiful way, The different stages of pakistan's existance. The first Platform is made of uncut stones , which symbolizes the humble begining of the freedom fight. The second one is built with hammer-dresses stones and third with chiselled stones and finally the polished white marbled platform; The success of the Pakistan Movement. The unfolding petals enhance its beauty and the petals of this tower looks like symbol of new begining for the Muslims. It is the place where the flower of new hope and peace bloom with smiles on the faces of Muslims of sub-continent.

• It is built at the exact place where Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was seated during the Lahore Resolution event.
• The other fact to know about MINAR-E-PAKISTAN is that Hafeez Jalandhari, the writer of Pakistan's national Anthem (Pak sar zameeen shaad baad), is also burried in the courtyard of this tower.

A visit of this monument will definately arise the feeling of patriotism among all the people.
